    What Are Nature Contribution Units?<\/h2>

    A Nature Contribution Unit (NCU) is a voluntary contribution to nature that enables companies to directly support the preservation and development of an agroforestry system.

    At Finca Fuente Vieja, this means:
    1 NCU = 1 hectare of real project land.
    <\/strong>
    This land is developed and maintained over the long term as a biodiverse agroforestry system.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    By doing so, companies directly support:<\/h4>

          • the promotion of species-rich vegetation<\/li>
          • the stabilization of the local water cycle<\/li>
          • the development of a biodiverse agroforestry system.<\/li><\/ul>

            Companies can present this contribution as part of their sustainability reporting, for example through:<\/p>

            • supported land area (hectares)<\/li>
            • measures taken to protect ecosystems<\/li>

              Agroforestry systems store carbon in both biomass and soil.
              At Finca Fuente Vieja, the average carbon storage is conservatively estimated at:
              approximately 5\u20137 tons of CO\u2082e per hectare per year.
              This climate impact is documented transparently.<\/p>

              • not offset mechanisms<\/li>
              • not emissions compensation instruments.<\/li><\/ul>

                • knowledge transfer in sustainable farming practices<\/li>
